About Us
Dancefloor Archive is a project dedicated to documenting electronic music culture through the language of photography.
Born in Barcelona and created by Judit Murphy and Violeta Falgas, the project emerged from a desire to preserve a culture that has profoundly shaped our lives and the lives of countless others. A culture built on music, community, creativity, freedom, and shared experience.
A night out today often survives only as fragments that quickly disappear into the constant flow of content. Dancefloor Archive began with a simple question:
What if we treated the fleeting magic of the dancefloor not as content, but as art?
Just as music lovers turn to vinyl to create a more tangible relationship with sound, Dancefloor Archive turns to photography as a way of preserving moments that would otherwise be lost. Through carefully selected limited-edition prints, photographs become physical objects, memories made to endure beyond the night they were captured.
